Hi everyone! My name is Julie. I am a Ph.D candidate in Comparative Literature at IU -- which means I get to read a lot of books, watch a lot of movies, and talk to a ton of amazing people! I was born and raised in the suburbs of Paris where I got a Masters in English. I have always wanted to travel and got the opportunity to study and teach as an exchange student in London. After a year over there, I was not quite ready to go back home and came to Bloomington on a similar exchange program. I really liked the community I found here, the students I met in my classes, as well as the kind of intellectual conversations people were engaging in and I decided to stay for my Ph.D!
